City overview
Cozumel is a Caribbean island off the coast of Quintana Roo, reached by a short ferry from Playa del Carmen or by direct flights into its own international airport. It is best known for the Mesoamerican reef that runs along its western shore, which makes it one of the world's great diving and snorkelling destinations, and for a compact walkable town, San Miguel, where most visitors stay. For kosher travellers the island is unusually well served for its size: Chabad of Cozumel sits in the centre of San Miguel and anchors a cluster of kosher restaurants, a kosher grocery and a caterer, nearly all within a few minutes' walk of one another.

Tips
Prices change with the date and how far ahead you book, with discounts for booking a week or more in advance and reduced rates for children 5 to 11. The headline evening show clashes with the last ferry back to Cozumel, so day-trippers will usually miss it.
