City overview
Orlando's theme parks and hotel districts are spread across a large metro area. Visitors keeping kosher can find restaurants, caterers and community services near Dr. Phillips, and villa-oriented services near Kissimmee. Choose Shabbos lodging only after checking a particular walking route, the week's minyan and eruv status. Eden Gardens is a villa development, not a single hotel; its minyan meets every Shabbos and most weekdays according to Kosher Orlando.

Getting Around
Public transit
LYNX buses serve the region, including Disney-area connections; SunRail links parts of Central Florida on its operating days, and the I-RIDE Trolley covers International Drive.
Public transit may require transfers and take longer than driving. Check the current route and park transport for the exact gate or hotel.
Rideshare
Rideshare services operate in Orlando.
At MCO, follow current airport and app signs to your designated pickup area; terminal assignments and levels may change.
Car rental
Every major rental company operates on site at Orlando International Airport, with additional branches along International Drive and near the Disney entrances.
A car is the practical default here: the metro is spread across three counties, and most hotels charge a nightly self-parking fee on top of the room rate. Florida tolls are common on the beltways, so take the transponder option unless you plan to stay on surface roads.
Airport
Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the main regional gateway. Terminal and airline assignments change, so check the itinerary rather than assuming an international arrival uses Terminal C. Brightline connects the airport to South Florida. Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) is farther north and may suit Lake Mary or Longwood better than the theme-park corridors.
Good to know
Best time to visit
November through April is the comfortable window, with dry days in the 70s and low 80s, while June to September brings heat, humidity and near-daily afternoon thunderstorms.
Insider tips
Plan Shabbos meals and any theme-park kosher meal requests in advance. Disney says kosher meals at most table-service restaurants need at least 24 hours advance reservation, with options at select quick-service locations; Universal asks four to five days and a confirmed dining reservation for Kosher Fresh. SeaWorld’s current kosher meal program was not verified on its official pages. Confirm a hotel’s individual walk route and the current eruv and minyan before booking.
Safety & emergency
Take ordinary city precautions: secure valuables, watch for lightning and heat, and swim only in designated areas. Do not approach wildlife in lakes and canals. Dial 911 for emergencies.
