City overview
Grenada is a three-island nation at the southern end of the Windward Islands — Grenada itself, plus Carriacou and Petite Martinique — known as the Spice Isle for the nutmeg and cocoa still grown across its interior. Rainforest, a crater lake and waterfalls sit within half an hour of the beaches, and the horseshoe harbour at St. George's is among the most photographed in the Caribbean. Jewish life here is recent and centres entirely on the Chabad Jewish Center of Grenada, founded in True Blue in 2013 by Rabbi Boruch and Chaya Rozmarin. It serves around twenty-five resident families alongside several hundred Jewish students at St. George's University, and runs the country's only kosher kitchen, kosher shop and Shabbos table.

Real Value IGA Supermarket
Grenada · $$
It stocks kosher-certified packaged products alongside everything else, so check each item individually for a reliable hechsher. This is the supermarket most visitors use, in Spiceland Mall at Morne Rouge, a few minutes from Grand Anse and about ten minutes from True Blue. It carries no fresh kosher meat, no kosher deli counter and no Cholov Yisroel dairy — those come from the Chabad shop in True Blue.
This is a general supermarket, not a kosher store.

Good to know
Packaged kosher-certified non-perishables among the imported American and British brands — cereals, crackers, biscuits, canned goods, pasta, snacks, juices and baby food. Check each package individually for a reliable hechsher, as certified and uncertified versions of the same brand sit side by side.
