Chabad Lubavitch of the Virgin Islands — Island Minyan
St. Thomas, USVI
Weekday
There is no fixed daily minyan schedule. Davening happens most often in winter season and is arranged around who is visiting that week — the community is small enough that one traveller’s attendance can be the difference between a minyan happening or not. Contact Chabad by email or WhatsApp before your trip with your dates, and let them know if you need a minyan for a yahrtzeit or to say Kaddish, so they can plan around it.
Shabbos
Shabbat day — Minyan: 10:00 AM, followed by a buffet kiddush Friday night — Mincha & Kabbalat Shabbat: Timing depends on the week’s attendance and season — confirm with Chabad ahead of Shabbos

340-998-8889Locations: The main Shul is the Chabad House on Starboard Lane on the East End. Occasionally, depending on where visiting guests are staying, a satellite minyan is held in downtown Charlotte Amalie, across from the Alvaro De Lugo Post Office. Which location is used in a given week depends on who is attending — confirm with Chabad before you go. Visiting: Warm and genuinely glad to have visitors — the community depends on tourists to help make a minyan, so reaching out ahead of time is welcomed rather than an imposition. Tell Chabad your dates, contact info, and where you are staying.
Walking
The Chabad House is on the East End near Nazareth and Red Hook, about an eight-minute walk from the Ritz-Carlton and close to the other East End hotels (Secret Harbour, Elysian, Sapphire Village, The Anchorage). There is no eruv around it. Community members who drive to the minyan are often willing to pick up visitors from their hotel or villa — ask Chabad about arranging a ride.
