San Francisco's Orthodox community is spread across several neighbourhoods, so where you stay shapes what you can reach on Shabbat. Chabad of San Francisco holds services at 873 Sutter Street, with pre-booked Shabbat meals. Richmond Torah Center - Chabad is at 423 10th Avenue in the Richmond District, and the Schneerson Center is at 2655 Balboa Street. Chabad centres also serve Cole Valley, Noe Valley and West Portal.

Seaplane Adventures runs seaplane and helicopter sightseeing flights over San Francisco Bay from its Mill Valley Seabase in Marin County, a day trip from San Francisco. On the Golden Gate Seaplane Tour the pilot shares local history on passes over the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Angel Island and the city, then lands in Richardson Bay at Sausalito.
